Writer/Director<br>
ICF Class of '00</span>
</p>

<p>
Julio was born in Chinandenga, Nicaragua. After living in Texas, he moved with his parents and two younger brothers to East Los Angeles.
</p>

<p>
In the 6th and 7th grade, to learn English at an accelerated pace, Julio would complete every homework assignment three times because one of his teachers had said, "Repetition is the key to learning."
</p>

<p>
In the 9th grade, Julio became interested in filmmaking and joined the crew of BUC-TV, an after-school weekly video news program covering his school campus. His dedication and hard work paid off; he was soon promoted to Executive Producer.
</p>

<p>
Julio graduated from Bellflower High School where his favorite subjects were English, History, and Technology.
</p>

<p>
After graduating from the <b>Inner-City Filmmakers 2000 Summer Program</b> where he made a film on the difficulties of pacifism, Julio became a full time student at Cerritos College. Through Inner-City Filmmakers, he recently became a Development Intern at RAT Entertainment and has since been promoted to Script Reader. He is also attending the Screenwriting Class and the Intermediate Avid Editing Class at Inner-City Filmmakers to round out his filmmaking skills.
</p>

<p>
<i>"ICF is more than just filmmaking it is about life skills, communication and taking responsibility. It enhances your way of thinking. Before Inner-City Filmmakers, filmmaking was an impossible dream, and I had no idea how I would get there."</i>
