<span id=subhead>Trinh Tran<br>
Writer/Director<br>
ICF Class of '00</span>
</p>

<p>
Trinh was born near Saigon in Cho Long, Vietnam. Later, she lived in Albany, New York before moving to Los Angeles with her parents, two older brothers and younger sister.
</p>

<p>
Trinh was always a good student in school, and her parents looked forward to her going into a computer related business once she graduated. But Trinh loved films. She loved watching them, researching them, and reading about them.
</p>

<p>
In the 9th grade Trinh picked Steven Spielberg as the famous person to research and prepare a paper for her English class. She got an A.
</p>

<p>
Trinh graduated from San Gabriel High School where her favorite subject was English. But she wanted to pursue a career in filmmaking.
</p>

<p>
After graduating from the <b>Inner-City Filmmakers 2000 Summer Program</b>, where she made a film about the frailty of young love, Trinh became a full time student at Cal State Long Beach. Nonetheless she is still attending the Screenwriting Class and the Intermediate Avid Editing Class at Inner-City Filmmakers to sharpen her filmmaking skills.
</p>

<p>
<i>"ICF is a great opportunity for young filmmakers to get started in the industry. Without ICF I don't know if I would have ever had the chance to learn, meet the people, and experience all the things I've already done."</i>
